Using MyCollegePark

MyCollegePark is a community event-discovery service for College Park and nearby community life. By using the service, you agree to these Terms and the Community Guidelines.

The service is currently offered as a beta. Features may change, be unavailable, or contain errors while the service is being developed.

Accounts

You are responsible for activity performed through your account and for keeping access to your account secure. Do not impersonate another person or organization, create accounts for abuse, or attempt to obtain access to another user's account.

Event information

You are responsible for information you submit. Event details should be accurate to the best of your knowledge and should not intentionally mislead users about the organizer, location, time, price, eligibility, or purpose of an event.

MyCollegePark also imports information from public sources. Imported information can change at the original source, and MyCollegePark cannot guarantee that every listing is complete, current, or error-free. Users should confirm important details with the organizer when needed.

Your content and permission to display it

You keep ownership of content you submit. By submitting content for publication, you give MyCollegePark a non-exclusive permission to host, reproduce, resize, format, display, and distribute that content as reasonably necessary to operate and promote the event listing and the service.

You should only upload or publish material that you have the right to use.

Moderation

MyCollegePark may review, limit visibility of, reject, unpublish, or remove content that violates these Terms, the Community Guidelines, applicable law, or reasonable site-safety standards. Accounts may be limited or suspended for abuse or repeated violations.

Automated or AI-assisted recommendations, when shown, are advisory tools and do not replace the user's responsibility for submitted content.

No guarantee of attendance, availability, or safety

MyCollegePark helps people discover events; it does not organize or endorse every listed event. Unless explicitly stated otherwise, MyCollegePark is not the event organizer. Event cancellations, schedule changes, admission rules, accessibility, safety, parking, transactions, and interactions with organizers or attendees remain the responsibility of the relevant parties.

External websites

Listings may contain links to third-party websites. MyCollegePark does not control those sites and is not responsible for their content, availability, transactions, or practices.

Service availability

MyCollegePark may change, suspend, or discontinue features, imports, accounts, or the service itself. We do not promise uninterrupted or error-free operation.

Prohibited use

Do not attempt to interfere with the service, bypass access controls, scrape or overload the service in an abusive manner, distribute malware, probe for vulnerabilities without authorization, or use MyCollegePark for unlawful activity.

Limitation of responsibility

To the extent permitted by law, MyCollegePark is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. The service is not a substitute for official emergency, safety, legal, medical, transportation, or government information.

Changes

These Terms may be updated as the beta develops. Continued use after an updated version becomes effective means the updated Terms apply to subsequent use.
